Sophia Dakkuri (b. 2003, Prague) is a multidisciplinary artist whose work explores the relationship between reality and imagination as well as themes of identity, humanity, and spirituality. By working with media –painting, clay, and fiber– she investigates how these media coexist and shape human experience.

Sophia grew up in a multicultural family which has deeply influenced her perception of the world, has guided the shaping of her identity, and cultuvated new, creative ways of thinking. This perspective that has come from traveling and connecting to her family’s culture continues to inform her practice, as she explores the essence of identity and how your environment can shape you through her work. Drawing from her diverse background she uses these experiences as the foundation of her artistic expression.
